Description of the solutions in this room
Here in the greenhouse, there is very little technology, in part because there is no electric power. The primary device is a (battery-powered) Eve Weather “weather station”, see picture below, which provides data about temperature, humidity, and weather prognosis.

With spring arriving late in 2020, the gardener in the house determined that some pre-cultivation of plants was required, creating a need for heating in the greenhouse. We had already acquired a greenhouse heater, but not put it to use since it does not have a proper thermostat, just a setting between min and max, and we feared it would consume a lot of power. By coincidence, at the same time, I came across a free mart plug for outdoor use, see picture below.
By using an extension cord to bring temporary power to the greenhouse and connecting the heater to the smart plug, we can remotely turn the oven on and off. This is controlled based on the temperature measured by the Eve sensor through a setup where the oven turns on if the temperature drops below 10 degrees Celsius and off again when it reaches 14 degrees.
