About the vendor and its products

Wink started as a collaboration with General Electric, but was span out as an independent company in 2014. Like some other companies (Panasonic, SmartThings, etc.), Wink is based on partly offering its own platform/base station with is compatible with devices from a number of other manufacturers and partly on selling its own components tailored to this platform. The product range spans:

  • Base station, which exists in two generations; Wink Hub and Wink Hub 2

  • Motion sensor, Wink Motion Sensor

  • Door/window sensor, Wink Door/Window Sensor

  • Combined alarm siren and doorbell chime, Wink Siren and Chime

The products are controlled using a dedicated Wink app and there is also support for Amazon Alexa and IFTTT.
