About the vendor and its products
Brilliant (opens in a new window) is an American company that started by offering an innovative solution for controlling the smart home, by allowing the replacement of old light switches with a smart control panel. In 2020, a couple of other products were added so that now the following are available:
- Smart Home Control, which as mentioned is a touch screen that is installed, connected to the existing wiring, in stead of a light switch. There are versions for 1-4 switches and it can be programmed to act as a control panel for a smart home.
- Smart Dimmer Switch, a wired smart dimmer that can control lights, fans, audio devices, etc.
- Smart Plug, which requires that a Brilliant Control panel has been installed
Brilliant has its own Smart Home Control (opens in a new window) app, but is also kompatible with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Apple Home, as well as integration with a number of other manufacturers. Notice that all Brilliant products only work in 120 V systems.
