About the vendor and its products

Leviton is originally an American company with a very broad selection of products that go far beyond smart home devices. Here only products with relevance for the smart home are mentioned, which primarily are marketed under the same Decora. This line spans a few different categories of products (these are made for the North-American market):

  • Smart switches, in a number of exciting versions, including switches launched in 2022 that do not require a neutral wire (some of these and other product types require a base station)

  • Smart dimmer switches, also these in some different versions, including with built-in motion sensor

  • Smart sockets, in different versions

  • Smart fan switch

  • All the products listed above use WiFi for communication, but there are also lines of products based on Z-Wave and Zigbee

There is a dedicated Leviton app to control the products. In addition, there is compatibility with Apple Home, Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, SmartThings, and IFTTT, but the support varies from product to product.
